Amy Kilner, 29, a freelance graphic designer from Sheffield, first became interested in the cryptoassets known as non-fungible tokens (NFTs) through her work.
NFTs are digital certificates that record the ownership of assets including art, music and videos on a blockchain, a digital ledger. While cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin use a blockchain to keep track of how much digital currency each investor owns, some blockchains can keep track of more complicated data, such as ownership rights.
“I researched NFTs and discovered this whole new world that was perfect for the 3D designs I was making. I loved the idea of being able to create and buy collectible digital artworks,” Kilner said.
