The BRICS recent announcement was based on the creation of an independent payment system based on digital currencies and blockchain technology. However, VanEck advisor, Gabor Gurbacs strongly disagreed. Instead, he urges the countries to adopt Bitcoin instead of the CBDC. Gabor took to the X platform to voice his perspective stating, “Countries should just adopt Bitcoin instead of creating flavors of CBDCs”.
An alternative monetary system, free from governement control and political influence, which will be convenient for everyone is what is required currently, as per some experts.
