Ledger and MetaMask recently announced a partnership. Announced on X/Twitter, the partnership sees the Ledger Nano X supporting the MetaMask mobile app.
Users can now import their Ledger accounts to MetaMask and explore the crypto space. Besides the announcement tweet and a short video, Ledger also released an official post to help users leverage the integration.

- Click on Add Account or Hardware Wallet

Till now, users can only access the MetaMask browser extension for desktops with the Ledger wallet. However, the latest integration makes connecting the Ledger Nano X to MetaMask possible. Users can do so via Bluetooth and even import their Ledger Live accounts.
The collaboration allows the Ledger hardware wallet to keep users’ private keys offline and secured. At the same time, approving transactions will need to go through the ledger, adding another layer of security.
As two of the best wallets for cryptocurrency in the market, a partnership between Ledger and MetaMask is expected to be a success. Carl Anderson, Ledger’s VP of Engineering, agrees with the notion.
Anderson stated that Ledger and MetaMask are self-custody maxis. Therefore, it makes sense for the platforms to partner and deliver a mix of top-class security and a smooth experience to Web3 users.
With over 1.5 million active users, Ledger Live empowers customers to swap, stake, lend, buy, and sell digital assets. On the other hand, MetaMask acts as the bridge between dApps and traditional web browsers running on the Ethereum network.
