Polygon And Wakweli Join Forces to Secure NFT Authenticity

Wakweli, a decentralized NFT certification protocol, has announced a collaboration with Polygon Labs to ensure the authenticity of NFTs on the Polygon blockchain. The collaboration means that every NFT project holder on the Polygon chain can request authenticity certificates for their digital assets using Wakweli’s certification system. Furthermore, advanced use-case scenarios will also be available for developers via the Wakweli platform and API.

Wakweli’s community-powered protocol incentivizes users to review certificate requests using a unique consensus method called Proof-of-Democracy (PoD). All certified assets carry a green tick symbol that automatically appears next to the assets when appearing in marketplaces, giving users confidence that the item is genuine.

The collaboration between Wakweli and Polygon comes as Polygon has established itself as the go-to chain for minting assets since 2021 when ETH fees skyrocketed. Polygon has performed extremely well ever since and is now the home of incredible NFT projects.

Antoine Sarraute, Co-Founder of Wakweli, expressed his excitement about the collaboration with Polygon, stating that it would enable Wakweli’s certification power to all Polygon users and unlock a definitive way to fight scam attempts, creating more trust in this thriving ecosystem.

Prior to securing its collaboration with Polygon, Wakweli secured $1.1 million in funding after onboarding a number of early backers, including VCs and angel investors.

Wakweli’s certification system is crucial to combat fraud in the growing web3 ecosystem, and the collaboration with Polygon will undoubtedly strengthen the security of the digital ecosystem. Polygon Labs develops Ethereum scaling solutions for Polygon protocols, and the collaboration is a significant step towards making available scalable, affordable, secure, and sustainable blockchain infrastructure for Web3.

The existing Polygon network is home to some of the biggest Web3 projects, such as Aave, Uniswap, and OpenSea, as well as well-known enterprises, including Robinhood, Stripe, and Adobe. Furthermore, Polygon Labs is carbon neutral with the goal of leading Web3 in becoming carbon negative.

In conclusion, the collaboration between Wakweli and Polygon is a significant development in the web3 ecosystem. It will undoubtedly strengthen the security and authenticity of NFTs on the Polygon blockchain, providing users with confidence in the genuine nature of their digital assets.
